‘Feel Like Going Home’, Kris Pohlmann’s brand new album was released by Black Penny Records on October 12th 2018. This is the follow-up to his 2015 studio album release ‘Taylor Road’ and the 2016 ’10 Years Live’ live album.
‘Feel Like Going Home’, as the title suggests, explores the many emotions of a blues artist who left his home in England to move to Germany almost two decades ago. While it’s not quite the Mississippi to Chicago great migration of legendary blues musicians such as Muddy Waters and Buddy Guy, his own move was, nonetheless, not an easy one.
‘Feel Like Going Home’ features 10 new, original, self-penned songs. From the BB King-influenced ‘Close To You Baby’ and the soul blues of ‘Upside Down’ to the rocky ‘Not Your Only One’ and ‘So Damn Easy’, Kris Pohlmann processes his emotions and feelings of leaving home, missing family and loved ones through various blues styles. This is Kris Pohlmann’s most blues oriented album yet and features his live band, Jonas Bareiter on bass and Roman Dönicke on drums as well as a host of talented guest musicians.
