Belated Happy New Year everyone.
As I previously mentioned, 2020 is an important year for me. It’s 15 years since I formed my first band, The Kris Pohlmann Band in spring 2005. The recording of my first EP ‘Heavy Pain’, later that year became a door opener into the European Blues Scene. I can’t believe it is so long ago! It honestly seems like just yesterday when I got together with Warren Richardson (bass) and Daniel Häker (drums). The idea at the time was to just get out there and play some live music. It was the start of something magical!
In order to celebrate this milestone I’m going to be undertaking an extensive European Tour. The tour will begin in late summer and include my first ever Russian tour – which I’m incredibly excited about! All the dates will be announced here soon.
For the next few months, without any touring commitments, I’m going to be writing material for what hopefully will become my 6th album release, tentatively planned for late 2021. It’s very early in the process but I’ve already got some good ideas kicking about. We’ll see where this journey takes me!
