A little update regarding the new album…. I’m excited to announce that the new album will be recorded during April & May. The studio time has been booked. Joining me will be Jonas Bareiter (Bass) and Roman Dönicke (Drums), my regular touring rhythm section. The album will of course be produced by my long term musical partner Thomas Hannes and be recorded in my recording studio in Duisburg, Tresorfabrik.
The songs are almost ready and this looks like it’s going to be my most bluesy album yet. So what can you expect? Well, there will be some of my more typical heavy blues rock songs, a instrumental, a few heavy ballads and for the first time some classic slow blues. There will be a host of guest musicians, a brass section to add a Chicago flair to the blues numbers, gospel singers, hammond organ and a harp player too!
I’m incredibly excited to record this album and I’ll keep you posted on the progress.
In the meantime, we’ll be playing a select number of spring and summer shows before releasing the album in Autumn with a big release tour. Details to follow…
